The Path of Life

Family
this abstract work is called. Unfortunately I saw this painting the first time after Cliff's death. I would have liked to ask him what he wanted to express with this paining - especially because I know how his family situation had been.

Moonlit Night
This painting Cliff did for me four weeks before his execution. His dedication on the backside: "For Gabi, Always remember me and the many things we've shared. Love and Hugs and Friendship Forever, Cliff".

This abstract picture is untitled.
It reminds me to the metaphor of the light at the end of a tunnel.

The Thief on the Cross
This drawing is the very last artwork of Cliff, which remained unfinished.

Cliff Boggess didn't want to be burried anonymously on the prison cemetery - only with his number on the cross. He preferred to be cremated. To finance this plan he had the following four
drawings printed as greeting-cards (with envelopes) to purchase them. A set of four different cards costs $ 7 (plus shipping) and can be ordered HERE. Of
course it is too late for Cliff, but the money will be sent to other inmates on Death Row.

Death Gurney
Another series of four greeting-cards contains some of Cliff's paintings of various landscapes. It is available for $ 5 (plus shipping), and the proceeds of these cards are for the organization German Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty. The paintings are "Irish Coast", "Desert Twins", "White Birch", and "Jessi's Sunset". Cards can be ordered HERE.

About one year after I created the first version of this website I had the opportunity to see and to photograph an extensive collection of Cliff's artwork by visiting Conny, Cliff's friend of many years. Here is a selection of 20 drawings and paintings:
